Delete your account

Ask us to delete your WorkAm account and the data in it. You do not need to sign in.

The app can do this for you, right now

Open WorkAm and go to Settings > Your Data & Privacy, then Delete Account. It takes effect immediately and wipes the copy on your phone at once.

This page is for people who have uninstalled WorkAm, lost the phone, or cannot sign in.

Send me a copy of my records before you delete them. Tick this if you can no longer open the app to export them yourself.

What happens

First, we check it is you: sending this form records your request, it does not close anything yet. We reply to the address you give us, and once you confirm, we close the account, so you and anyone on your team lose access to it.
Deleted: your profile and your business, and the records you synced to us, sales, expenses, customers, suppliers, inventory, quotes and invoices, staff and payroll, except for the records named below. The copy on a phone is deleted the moment you delete the account in the app, and it goes with the app if you uninstall it.
Kept for a set period: Nigerian law does not let us erase everything at once. Financial and transaction records are kept for 6 years under CBN and tax rules, employee and payroll records for the length of employment plus 6 years, audit logs for 5 years, and account and profile records for 12 months. We keep them for that legal duty and nothing else, and we delete them when the period ends. The full table is in the Privacy Policy, section 5.
Timing: we reply to confirm we have your request, and complete the deletion within 30 days, the window the Nigeria Data Protection Act allows. The retention periods above run from then.

Deletion cannot be undone. If you can still open the app, export your records first under Settings > Data Backup. If you cannot, tick the box above and we will send them to you before we delete anything.
